Job Description

We are looking for a Campaign Manager for Poland. A dynamic leader who will amplify our voice, spark public debate, and push Warsaw and other Polish cities into the fast lane of zero emission urban transformation. As Campaign Manager, you will be expected to lead innovative campaigns and to inspire organizations to partner with us on our mission to build public support for cities to shift from polluting vehicles to active, shared and electric mobility.

You will need to be a quick thinker, with strong networking skills and an ability to get stuck into a policy debate without losing sight of your objectives. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and most important of all, achieve impact. As well as your communication and advocacy skills, this role will test your ability to be strategic and to juggle different priorities.

About Us

The Clean Cities Campaign (hosted by Transport & Environment) is a European coalition of over 150 grassroots and civil society organizations across 20 countries. We want cities that put people first - where our children can walk to school safely, where everyone breathes clean, pollution-free air, and where transport is healthy, affordable, and clean. We don't just talk about this future; we are building it.

Your profile: A Catalyst

We need someone who seamlessly blends strategic political thinking with the raw instinct of a grassroots activist. You don't wait for a playbook; you write it, execute it, and deliver impact.

  • Experience: You bring a minimum of 5-7 years in advocacy, campaigning, or climate/transport policy. You know the Polish (especially Warsaw) NGO, grassroots, and political landscape inside out. Having existing relationships with political stakeholders is a big plus.

  • Head in strategy, boots on the street: You are equally comfortable navigating complex policy debates with top officials as you are organizing a high-visibility, creative stunt or event on the streets of Warsaw.

  • Great communicator: You are a native Polish speaker and fluent in English. You can pitch to national media, write compelling copy, and command a room.

  • Tech-savvy & resourceful: You have hands-on experience updating websites using WordPress and Elementor, and a good eye for creating quick assets in Canva.

  • Strong organizational skills: with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.

  • Flexibility: You thrive in a remote, diverse pan-European team. You don't mind traveling abroad occasionally or attending evening meetings to sync up with local grassroots movements.

Your skills:

  • Campaign Strategy and Implementation: the ability to design, plan, and execute communication campaigns. This includes setting objectives, defining key messages, choosing channels, coordinating resources, and measuring impact to achieve advocacy or awareness goals.

  • Deep understanding of urban policies: deep knowledge and insight into urban mobility and clean air policies. This includes understanding key trends, challenges, and the technical and environmental aspects that shape the sector.

  • Political Analysis: the ability to assess political contexts, trends, and power dynamics at the national and local levels. This skill includes identifying opportunities and risks, anticipating political developments, and evaluating how decisions by institutions or political actors may affect the organization’s objectives.

  • Media Relations: the ability to establish and manage relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets. This includes drafting press releases, preparing media kits, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews to secure positive coverage. Skilled in conducting in-depth desk research and field investigations to collect, verify, and analyze information on environmental issues, ensuring accuracy and credibility in advocacy and communication efforts.

  • Digital Communications: the ability to create, curate, and monitor content across digital platforms. This skill includes audience targeting, engagement strategies, community management, and analyzing platform metrics to optimize visibility.

  • Content Creation & Editing: the ability to write, edit, and adapt content (articles, reports, newsletters, op-eds, speeches, visuals, videos) for different audiences and communication channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational messaging.

  • Event design & delivery: the ability to design, plan, and deliver impactful events (from small stakeholder meetings to large-scale public mobilizations) that advance campaign objectives, engage audiences effectively, and reflect organizational values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead campaigns from inception to delivery: own the entire lifecycle of a campaign - from wild creative brainstorming to budget management, procurement, and impact reporting.

  • Build momentum & pressure: identify and execute sharp, unconventional tactics to build public support and put positive political pressure on decision-makers.

  • Unconventional networking: connect the dots. Foster strong alliances not just with traditional NGOs and policymakers, but with unusual allies (e.g., parents' associations fighting for safe school streets, seniors, doctors, business).

  • Create high-impact content: write with a punch. You will produce everything from sharp press releases and op-eds to social media posts, policy briefs, and funding proposals.

  • Research with an edge: commission or undertake in-house data analysis to uncover facts that serve as heavy ammunition for our campaigns.

What we offer:

  • 2-year fixed-term employment contract, including an initial 6-month probationary period.

  • Competitive salary: PLN 11,800 – 14,000 gross/month (full-time), depending on your experience plus benefits package.

  • A role where your work directly determines the quality of the air millions of people breathe.

  • High autonomy - got a brilliant idea for a street action? Pitch it, back it up, and run with it.

  • Continuous investment in your professional growth from day one (training, European network exchange).

  • Collaboration with Europe's leading transport and climate experts.

  • Location: Warsaw (hybrid: min. 2 days a week from our central Warsaw workspace).

Application:

The starting date for this job is ideally mid-August/1st of September. The closing date for applications is 30th of June 2026, at midnight.

The T&E/Clean Cities Campaign anticipates a high number of applications and only shortlisted candidates for the first round of interviews will be contacted. T&E is an equal opportunities employer, we value diversity in applications for this position.
