  • Providing strategic input and guidance to the Director on political strategies and fundraising efforts;

  • Building and maintaining contact with policy-makers and T&E members working in this field;

  • Leading the work on building coalitions with key aviation industry players, research institutes, partner NGOs;

  • Identifying, commissioning and delivering impactful research tailored to the needs of the EU and national policy campaigns.

The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Five to seven years of relevant experience of managing projects and/or staff in either the aviation sector, energy sector, EU or government advocacy, preferably on economic topics;

  • Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, and a willingness to build on or develop a network in the aviation sector;

  • Excellent coordination skills, with an ability to engage with, build and manage multi-stakeholder coalitions;

  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines; eager to learn, with a positive and optimistic attitude when faced with challenges;

  • The confidence to think and act with initiative, to engage and influence policy-makers of different stripes, industry representatives and other stakeholders at the highest level;

  • The ability and motivation to learn technical, economic and legal information, to independently develop new political, economic or legal arguments and evidence and use them to convince key stakeholders;

  • Project management skills;

  • Good writing, communication and presentation skills;

  • Having an academic background in economics is a plus;

  • Commitment to sustainability and changing the aviation sector.

This position is advertised as a permanent, full-time position based in Brussels.
