Deadline for applications: 21/11/2025 at midnight
What we are looking for
T&E, the leading Brussels-based NGO promoting cleaner transport in Europe, is offering a data analyst internship position in our road team for a period of one year, starting in January 2026.
This position requires a person with analytical, coding, and research skills. Communicating complex data in a way that is both accessible and impactful is key for our advocacy. The successful candidate will work with T&E's Trends and Analysis team, supporting T&E’s in-house quantitative analysis on cars - through our work on passenger cars and electric mobility in Europe. This position will have a particular focus on Spain, where the successful candidate will spend roughly half of their time contributing to Spanish national level analysis on electromobility.
What you will do ?
As part of the internship, you will undertake one or several specific research projects with the exact scope of the project to be agreed at commencement. The projects would be dependent on the skill set and experience of the person. Your work will include:
Data analysis and desk research for the Brussels and Spanish team on electromobility, including market analysis, regulation compliance, and emissions modelling,
Conducting economic analysis of EV production in Spain supporting our EU Fleets initiative,
Supporting the Spanish national team on e-vans, in terms of production and market conditions,
Management and aggregation of multiple large databases,
Support the organization with ad hoc research and analysis.
In addition, you may also help with other projects within the team to gain a more fulfilling experience working in the organization.
What do we offer ?
The position is full-time, with a year long contract running from early January 2026, although the dates are subject to discussion. The position is based in Brussels. Regular trips to Paris will be expected and paid for by T&E to ensure integration with the French team. The internship is paid according to the Belgian legal framework of “Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle”, remunerated at €1500 per month. T&E is an equal opportunities employer.
How to apply ?
You can apply through jobs.transportenvironment.org ; the deadline for applications is midnight 21th of November 2025, and interviews will take place in the first week of December.
The cover letter, of one page maximum, should explain the motivation and commitment to work with T&E’s aims, why you would like to work on cars and on French automotive topics, and also highlight examples from your previous work or studies that show us that you have the skills and competencies outlined above. Transport & Environment offers great flexibility in work schedule and modality. However, preference will be given to candidates able to come work regularly on site in Brussels.
We thank all candidates for their interest; however, we are only able to contact those who have been shortlisted. Only applicants with the existing right to work within the EU will be considered.
